Jaffna Police on Friday sought public assistance to identify an elderly man who has stolen a large number of bicycles from 20 locations in Jaffna.
In recent weeks police have received a large number of complaints on missing bicycles. When police studied the CCTV footage in some of the locations where bicycles were taken, they found that an elderly man was behind the large number of these thefts.
Police said that the suspect is about 70 years old.According to police, the suspect is not a known criminal and that they have failed to identify him so far. Thus they are seeking public assistance to identify and locate him.
