Minister of power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera announced that the final draft of the New Electricity Act and the transition program will be submitted to the Attorney General’s department next week. The final draft of the Act including the new amendments is to be presented to the Cabinet in the month of June for cabinet approval after AG has reviewed the Act.
